BTP is an Australian family owned company, delivering a worldwide service, managed by brothers Brian and Greg Murphy. With experience in offshore earthmoving contracts, Brian's industry experience is vast. He is actively involved in BTP's Australian operations as well as the sale and purchase of parts and machinery worldwide. |

Greg moved from Perth to Mackay in 2001 to establish BTP's operations in Queensland. Maintenance orientated, with experience supervising various mining operations, Greg's skills and knowledge of the industry is second to none. |

Both offices have been highly successful in providing a competitive service to customers and establishing themselves with major mining companies, contractors and government departments. To meet the growing national demands in the industry, a new office, was established in Singleton, New South Wales in 2005.
With a vision to continue to provide the highest quality parts and equipment to mine sites all around the world, BTP established its own in-house hydraulics and engineering division rapidly decreasing turnaround time and rebuild costs in 2006.
BTP Equipment
BTP expanded operations again in January 2010, forming BTP Equipment Pty Ltd (BTPE). BTPE replaced three individual rental and sales divisions in Western Australia (formely Tahmoore), Queensland and New South Wales and offers the latest mining equipment to buy or rent.
At BTP and BTPE we are renowned for our outstanding team of people dedicated to sourcing, dismantling, restoring, maintaining and delivering mining parts and equipment to global mine sites in the shortest possible time, by land, sea or air.
In the mid 1980’s Wigmore’s the Caterpillar distributor decided there was an opportunity to market used earthmoving machinery parts. For this reason Best Tractor Parts was established to dismantle used Caterpillar machines and sell the used parts taken from them.
It was in 1987 that Australian company Emeco purchased Best Tractor Parts from Wigmore’s and for the next nine years the company successfully operated as used parts suppliers to the earthmoving and mining Industries.
In 1999 The Murphy Family Trust negotiated the purchase of Best Tractor Parts from Emeco, establishing Best Tractor Parts Pty Ltd as a major used parts supplier to the industry. Best Tractor Parts, Perth is managed by Brian Murphy and in 2001 Greg Murphy began similar operations in Mackay, Queensland. The Mackay office has been successful in providing a competitive service to customers on the east coast, also establishing itself with major mining companies, contractors and some government departments. To meet with growing national demands in the industry a new office was established at Singleton, New South Wales in 2005.
