Best Tractor Parts (BTP) was established in the mid 1980's after Wigmore's, the Caterpillar distributor, decided there was an opportunity to market used earthmoving machinery parts. BTP began by dismantling used Caterpillar machines and then selling the used parts.
In 1987, Australian company Emeco purchased BTP from Wigmore's and for the next nine years the company successfully operated as a used parts supplier to the earthmoving and mining industries.

In 1996 Tahmoore Pty Ltd negotiated the purchase of BTP from Emeco, establishing Best Tractor Parts Pty Ltd as a major used parts supplier to the mining and earthmoving industries. The Mackay office established in 2001 has been successful in providing a competitive service to customers along the east coast of Australia, followed by the NSW Singelton branch in 2005. Both branches work with major mining companies, contractors and various government departments around Australia. |
In 2010 BTP established BTP Equipment Pty Ltd (BTPE) to further meet the nation's growing demands for mining equipment, sales and rentals. BTPE operates alongside BTP in Perth, Mackay and Singleton. Visit the BTPE page for more information about our mining equipment sales and rentals.
