In the mid 1980’s, Wigmore’s the Caterpillar distributor decided there would be an opportunity to market earthmoving machinery parts.

Subsequently they established “Best Tractor Parts” who actually dismantled used Caterpillar machines and sold used parts.

In 1987 Emeco purchased “Best Tractor Parts” from Wigmores. For the next nine years they successfully operated as used parts suppliers to the earthmoving and mining industries. Then in 1996 Tahmoore successfully negotiated the purchase of “Best Tractor Parts” from Emeco. This establised Best Tractor Parts as a major used parts supplier to the industry. In the last nine years to date ”Best Tractor Parts” have expended their operations, with new branches across Australia in Mackay Queensland and Mt Thorley in NSW.
